Work with your files
Open a folder, edit text and code, and save when you are ready. Recovered drafts stay separate from your files; CETA checks for changes made by other programs before saving.

Local intelligence. Your workspace.
Your data.
Your machine.
Your intelligence.
A place to think, code, and get work done. Bring your files, conversations, and everyday commands into one native desktop workspace.
Start with your own work. Add a local model when you want one.

A workspace that stays with you
Move between a file, a conversation, and a command without losing your place.

Open a folder, edit text and code, and save when you are ready. Recovered drafts stay separate from your files; CETA checks for changes made by other programs before saving.

Think through a problem with a local model. Conversations and drafts stay in your local application data. Choose when to attach an open file, stop a response, or export a discussion.

Launch a command in your workspace, read its output, and stop it when needed. Your command history is saved locally. A model response cannot run a command or save a file by itself.

Download a model through an installed Ollama runtime or import a GGUF model you already have. Models are optional expansion packs, separate from application updates.

Offline first
Editing files and running local commands work offline. Conversations can run offline once your chosen local model and runtime are installed. CETA does not bundle a model or automatically send your workspace files.
Model downloads need an internet connection. Model sizes, licenses, and hardware needs vary. GGUF packs use a separately installed llama.cpp server; Ollama packs use Ollama.
Check your model runtime’s privacy settings, especially if it was already running. A service on your computer may still offer cloud models.
Application updates are separate from model packs. CETA checks a signed update manifest, verifies the download, and asks you to close the app before installing.

CETA for Windows
Download CETA 0.3.3, install it on your computer, and choose a folder to get started.
Download CETA for WindowsUsing CETA 0.3.1? Download the current installer here and close CETA before running it. Version 0.3.1 cannot reach the update channel; version 0.3.2 fixes that connection.
